Okay. loopert. i typed a lot of this on my random rambling page the other day. but it wasn't enough.

Not an analysis or anything more of just. a big ramble (dont kill me). because I am not confident enough in anything ever that isn't my ocs or. jack von pyroscythe vsmp apparently. even then its. sigh. WHATEVER LOOPERT...

okay. when i first played in stars and time. like. I DID LIKE LOOP... I THOUGHT THEY WERE COOL. but they were not my favourite. however since beating the game. and thinking everyday about the twohats fight. I HAVE BECAME. PROGRESSIVELY MORE AND MORE UNWELL OVER THEM. loopert disease. sigh my favourite was intially sif and then i found about about the somehow even more unwell frin variant I should not be shocked this happened to me.

LOOKING BACK ITS SO VERY CLEAR WHO THEY ARE. they say so many things... their mannerisms. or well. coping mechanisms which sif starts to adopt more and more as they get progressively more unwell (If loop had a mouth they'd have the same smile. The teehees~ and manic laughter and wobbly text.) BUT I DIDN'T KNOW. im not very good at figuring anything out ever. Don't worry about what I clicked when they asked about theories. not relevant. ANYWAY. it was so fun replaying and also watching all my friends play, and looking at everything they say. and going Oh. thats why. they said that. Oh. Everything is horrible now. That's why they're like that. LOOKING AT THE BLINDING INTRO AGAIN. I hate this game.

Oh loop. they make me really really violently sad and upset. A siffrin that broke, that wasn't saved. ALL THEY WANTED WAS SOMEONE ANYONE TO HELP THEM. THOUSANDS OF LOOPS. THOUSANDS. HEADIANHDNS. At the start of isat they'd literally only just become loop. Their breaking point had only Just Happened. THEY MADE UP THEIR NAME. ON THE SPOT.

They're evasive and dodgy and don't want to answer questions because they Know beating the king won't free them, Knows things that won't work, they've done it all before. But what are they supposed to say? THEY DON'T. HAVE THE ANSWERS. Telling them would only break him like they did. Maybe they were the problem, maybe Stardust is different. They can't tell sif they're trapped here forever, cant even think that themselves. The Universe sent them here for a reason, right? It wouldnt be that cruel? surely surely surely? THEY DON'T KNOW THE WAY OUT. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. and they watch as nothing works and sif breaks apart more and more like they did. THEY DONT TELL SIF BECAUSE HOW COULD THEY. THERE MUST BE A WAY OUT THERE HAS TO BE THERE HAS TO BE.

Loop hates themselves. Of course they do. they're horrible and manipulative and now there's two of themseleves running around and they're forced to guide a naive, hopeful mirror of themselves everday and watch as they shatter more and more. They hate themself so much, they want to die, they want leave. They want to hurt him and kill him and leave him dead dead dead and take his place and. and yet they still care. They want him to be okay, they want at least one of them to succeed and get a happy ending... it's too late for them after all. They flip between being mean and helpful and usually both at once because they don't know how to feel about him. (the better version of themselves. they've gotten further than they ever did.) THEY WANT TO HATE HIM. but they can't. They give them a new sympathy for themself. They're the only ones who could ever possibly understand eachother, the only ones aware of the horrible unending play they're trapped in.

Loop can see all the signs of sif cracking, has been in their place. It happened to them and then they became This. Helpful loop!! here to help you with the loops!!! They're not siffrin anymore, they're something else, now, something that just exists purely to help him succeed. Sif was in the loops for a much shorter time than loopert, and they cannot remember much outside of them. Loop has been trapped for far longer, alone with no one to remind them of the memories crumbling through their fingers (WHY WOULDN'T YOU REMEMBER THEIR NAMES). Their friends don't recognise them (stardusts party. not theirs not theirs not theirs), they're a stranger, A star in a world that has forgotton the constellations. Who is loop outside the loops. No home, no identity. Their body has been Changed beyond recognition.

and. I REALLY LIKE LOOP FUN FACT. that wow i really that was more cohesive than I thought It would be. i am... not done. sigh

Post-canon... ourgh I'm not going to ramble about it here right now but I have read many a fic on different ways this could go and. it makes me feel. unwell!!!
