VAMPIRES SMP. I AM SO NORMAL ABOUT VAMPIRES SMP. i'd sort of been out of mcyt for a While and it dragged me back. I LOVE MINECARFT STORYTELLING!!!

The production in this series is actually insane like. THE CINEMATICS?? ANIMATICS???? CHARCACTER ANIMATIONS?? ORIGINAL SONGS??? the amount of care and love put into the series is so easy to see and it makes watching it even more fun. Like if someone commisioned an animation for their character, they really love them. and it makes it even more joyful to watch.

THE EDITING ACROSS DIFFERENT POVS is so peak as well and they really let you see through the characters eyes. Watching avid pov and it feels like you're watching a horror movie and then you watch scott pov and its so like. lighthearted and fine WHICH IS SO COOL AND MIRRORS HOW THE CHARCETRS SEE THINGS. watching something in scott pov versus pyro or apo pov especially IS SO. URGRH. ITS SO SCARY FROM THEIR SIDE and so inconsequential from his which makes it even more unsettling. Everyone is also such horribly unreliable narrators its so good YOU REALLY NEED TO WATCH MULTIPLE POVS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE SERIES

If you're reading this and haven't watched for some reason. WATCH IT PLEASE ITS SO WORTH IT!!!! AVID AND OWEN POV ARE VERY GOOD PLACES TO START their characters mirror eachother very well, give you a good view into what's happening on the castle and town side of things. and are also just incredible. I don't even have the words to describe how amazing their editing is.

My main povs through the series were pyro, apo, avid, owen and scott. But I have also watched legs, abolish and shelby. And would like to watch more somewhen. MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS EVER ARE V!PYRO AND V!APO which uhm is. defiantely evident in this page. so yeah MY PERSPECTIVE IS PROBABLY BIASED FROM THEM especially as I think v!scott really did do the Most Damage to those two. actually fucked up their lives

Charred Vampires SMP oneshots THESE. ONESHOTS. OH MY GOD. slightly insane over all of these there are 4 as of writing this. the pyro and drift one i especially love lots. where drift investigates her own murder, trying to figure out if scott turning her was truly an accident or not (if she would have been okay if she ran just a bit further. if it was her fault) and then kind of figuring out things through pyro appearing and being kind of fucked up and in denial. i love how they write pyro so much, they really get how Weird and also Traumatised that guy is.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS AU SO MUCH. especially the fucked up pyro bits. shocking to you im sure. i have never more really need that guy to be okay. this fic is so wonderfully written, everytime the pov changes i get sad and then immediately invested in whatever is happeneing again

ITS. SO. URGRH. their dynamic is sososososo horrible and fucked up in this its. urgrh. NORMAL. sire-fledgling instincts play into it a lot which i always love. also owen's dynamic with them both too. scott is so condesending and horrible even when half burnt to death.
This Wasn't Supposed to Happen - Irua_Serenity when a vampire turns someone, they gain some of their fledgling's strongest emotions. WHICH IMMEDIATELY GIVES HIM pyro's horrible amounts of fear and anxiety. And he's like. godammit I don't want to be feeling this stupid coward's fear, only to accidently gain apo's compassion when he wanted something else to balance out the fear. scott gradually caring more and more about his coven's saftey and happiness and also other people THE FIC!!!!
where scott suffers and pyro suffers by proxy THIS ONE. pyro can feel scott's pain through vampire bond. which basically is nothing to scott who's been desensitised after 1400 years BUT NOT FOR PYRO!!!!!!! the dynamic is one again so horrible in this. i love.

Waking up in the Afterlife - Helium_Toast pyro is killed and wakes up in the 80s after the rest of the coven thought he'd died. A lot of the coven is still alive, this is pre-avid murder, but some of them are dead. And its sort of him healing and eventually reuniting back in oakhurst. His death really Changed People (especially scott), in ways he finds it hard to believe AND ITS SO. oururgh. this fic makes me ill. It also has avid and pyro friendship which I love so much
the ramifications of our actions PEAK FIC scott-centric. his charisma stats in this are even Higher than usual its Wild. They didn't even know how much he was winning until he Won. need to reread.....

GO MY VERY LONG V!PYRO RAMBLE!!!

WARNING FOR DISCUSSIONS OF unhealthy relationships and abuse and murder and drowning and eveyrthing that comes with vpyro

I will probably change my mind on everything ever later but i just needed to write about them. because i like. them. a little bit. just a little!!! vpyro they could never make me hate you. uhm thing about vpyro is THEY'RE SUCH AN UNRELIABLE NARRATOR you could interpret their life and actions in. many differnt ways. AND THIS MINE!!! so if you think diffenrtly then. yay :heart:

The guy has spent his entire life being pushed around, bullied, seen as pathetic, as lesser. he arrives in oakhurst and just as he starts to make friends (for the first time ever.) he's turned. He doesn't know anyone in town, not really, and nobody even believes vampires are real at this point. SO OF COURSE when hes starving and scared he turns to scott. WHICH HE FULLY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF!!!! pyro is afraid and immediately fawns over scott, learned behaviour probably familar to him, in an effort to stay alive.

Over time, like many of the vampires, he begins to become more monsterous. Vampirism for pyro is power, control over their own life that they've never had before and he spends a lot of time fighting with this, scared that he's becoming the beast they always said he was. Scott tells him what to do and he listens, (its better than listening to himself. thinking about what hes done).

He also spends a lot of his earlier episodes constantly seeking out scotts approval. A lot of this as i said earlier is him fawning so he doesn't. die. (a thing v!scott himself acknowledges in episode 7). But also, he's never had a community before, has never made anyone proud before. Pyro's own family called him a monster and cast him out, whereas scott Actually turned him into a one but gave him a family instead. He likes feeling useful, valued, part of something.

All of this is just my character interpretation but I also think sire-fledgling bonds have a lot to do with this too. And because Scott is so old, so powerful it gives him a lot more control over pyro than say, pyro a week old fledgling, would have over shelby. This kind of fits into the patterns some of the other fledglings have fallen into too. So yeah. being first turned, not knowing anything about vampires or what to do, and having the little bat in the rafters of his brain telling him he should look up to scott, respect him, he'll keep him safe. (you know, the guy who just drowned him) was. a lot.

So yeah. PYRO IS SCARED. FULL OF FEAR AT ALL TIMES (also going off v!pyros own theory that vampirism almost amplifies the last emotions of a persons life. um probably also makes this a contributing factor) he's constantly spiraling, paranoid of being watched yet scared of being alone. Of his own thoughts of what he's become.

When the townsfolk discover vampires, many of them immediately write pyro off as too far gone, unsavable, (especially avid) which pushes him even more onto castle's side. This isn't the case for everyone, at least not at the start, but pyro does not help himself when he does a lot of what I've heard called "permformative evilism". he has. a lot of bravado which he tries and fails to use to mask his fear. He partly falls into this behaviour because, yeah, he does like feeling in control for once in his life and also in an attempt to prove himself to the coven, to scott. He starts to mirror lots of behaviours he thinks scott would like, and a lot of the things he says (vampirism is a gift, humans are livestock) are all things he's repeating from scott and owen.

His already bad paranoia is heightened even more after THE ONE TIME HE DOES REACH OUT to the townsfolk for a cure. BOTH ELDER VAMPIRES WERE WATCHING THEM. Scott literally corners him underground and tells him "assume I'm always watching, because I probably am" LIKE OKAY. Maybe his horrible paranoia wasn't unfounded.

i call this. the healthy relationship smp because everyone is Normal

So yeah, he acts very differently when scott is watching him (or when he thinks scott is watching him. Which is most of the time) and also depending on who's around him, on their perception of him. He hates being seen as a beast, yet constantly dehumanises himself and often mirrors the people he's with, changing his behaviour to act eactly how they think he will in order to fit the role he thinks he's supposed to fill. This is very much influenced by his terrible self worth, not trusting his own judgement, not wanting to make his own choices (how could he, after what he's done). THIS LEADS TO HIM constantly flip-flopping between wanting and not wanting a cure depending on who's around them, until scott effectively cuts that choice off from them.

Despite being the first turned, as more vampires join their ranks, pyro is still seen as lesser compared to then. he's laughed at by both humans and vampires who call him weak and pathetic (words he's been called ALL HIS LIFE) And at this point i think he starts to lose his barely existent patience a little. after all if vampirsm supposedly gave him power, why is he still at the bottom of the food chain?

When avid turns he reminds pyro so much of himself. eager to be useful, sucking up to scott and owen, the bloodlust, seen as a liability (pathetic, a weak link). SO PYRO KILLS HIM!!!!!!! HE KILLS THE PART OF HIMSELF HE HATES, THAT HE SEES AS WEAK AND BECOMES THE BEAST THEY ALL SAID HE WAS. Avid is also one of the main ones who is constantly taking jabs at them. both before and after his turning WHICH YOU KNOW. PROBABLY ALSO DIDNT HELP HIS CASE. pyro has been trying so hard to be useful to the coven, has watched himself become a literal monster to earn scott's approval and yet avid is accepted so easily. Pyro has so many pent up feelings about the nightmare he's trapped in that he's never really been able to express (not to scott.) because he's so scared and so instead he lashes out with his new powers at avid, to make him feel as small as they do, to feel like he has the slightest bit of control over his life. THE PARALLES BETWEEN PYROS TURNING, AND AVIDS DEATH are so fucked, pyro taking the place of scott and leading avid to his death with owen... something something avid and scott's stage 3 skins looked really similar. You can see some of his pent up rage when he interacts with avid before his death, and also the townsfolk. but its also really clear to see when he's confronted by owen in episode 5.

I do also think its important to acknowledge owen's role in avid's murder. Pyro being singled out by an elder vampire who gave him a chance to take back control of something and feel heard. Owen was defiantely trying to manipulate them, although I do think pyro saw through it a lot more. Their actions were their own. But I still don't think pyro would have killed avid of their own accord.

Pyro says he murdered czeslaw. but pyro is also a Very Unreliable narrator at the best of times (and this is the worst!) and so I don't believe him. Episode 7 pyro is trying so hard to believe that being a beast is always what he was. (He killed before, of course he'll do it again. This isn't him changing, he already crossed that line when ke killed czeslaw!!! He was rotten from the beginning and thats why everyone hated him, his family must have known something was wrong with him from the start). He tales on the identity of a killer, a beast, to make himself feel stronger and less afraid, whilst he's stuck in a horrible situation with horrible people which he feels he has no control over.

And it's not even an intentional lie, they've convinced themself that they're a killer. Everyone always told vpyro he was a beast, and looking at the blood on their hands, at what they've become, they can't help but believe them (after all, if he can't remember his own turning then whats to say other things couldn't be missing, what's to say they couldn't be right? He's replayed the scene so many times over and over, he doesn't know what's real anymore)

At worst, i think, it was self defence, but I do really like the idea that he didn't kill czeslaw and has just instead convinced himself he did. Either way, I would like to apologise to v!pyro here because when he said he didn't do it, i didn't believe him, AND NOW THEY'RE SAYING THEY DID I STILL DONT!!! poor guy just can't be believed no matter what he does.

If they were never going to believe him, then why even bother trying to prove them wrong?

So yeah. he kills avid and tries to distance himself from being scott's fledgling, to stand on his own, trying to claw back autonomy and power for himself. WHEN HE JUMPS ON THE LOG TO MAKE HIMSELF TALLER THAN SCOTT, THE SWITCH FROM SIRE TO GOLDSMITH. Despite everything, they're still trying to prove their worth, to prove that they could be good at something, for something. Trying to stand as an equal amongst the other vampires.

Some of the coven is upset of course, but like scott said, everything fades with time. Shelby will forgive him eventually, and the coven would go back to how it once was, this time with him as an equal. Avid was weak, avid needed to go. He's stronger now, he's proven himself.

But as always, underneath all his bravado he is so very scared. He's crossed a line there's no coming back from, trapped in a nightmare which he can't wake up from without facing what he has become (scott: "a nightmare you seem to be playing your part in very well")

He clings to his false confidence, desperately trying to bury his humanity, because it's all he has. vscott tells him he's proud, that he's impressed. And although part of pyro Knows he's still unhappy with him (that he's in danger), the other part of him wants to believe in that lie. So yet, even after doing so much to establish himself as an equal, after killing the part of him that was weak, he still falls back into old habits whilst trying to get back into scotts good graces again, asking scott he can make it up to him. It's still the same, even if he's trying to be confident about it, it's what he's used to, what he's done his entire life.

And vscott knows. Pyro is his fledgling, as he says. Scott drank pyro's blood, knew from the start just how fragile his mental state already was (if that wasn't evident enough already). He knew just how easy pyro would be to manipulate. "You remind me a lot of me when i was younger. The constant crying out for attention. grasping at any amount of sucess you can get whilst no one else gives you a word of notice. i understand"

In the end it's shelby who kills him. Beating him death in his sire's crypt, whilst he's weak and half-starved (just how he killed avid). Nobody liked him, scott and drift and even town were out to get him in the end. He died as he lived, alone and scared. But tired. He absolutely was trying to bait shelby into killling him. He wanted it. Describing avid's death in such vivid detail, digging his grave deeper and deeper because he didn't have anywhere else to go. He very much knew how pissed she was at him, and he was so very weak. He didn't fight back, not really, there was no point (better shelby than scott again)

Out of everyone, im so glad it was shelby, it's so tragic that the only person who would have mourned him, who did mourn him i think, was the one who did it.

Even, owen, despite everything, got a grave. Everyone but pyro. Turned so early that nobody really got to know him. Doomed from the start.

I do love the ending of vampires. One because the 2006 ending is funny as shit. AND ALSO the idea that no matter "too far gone" someone is, they can always make the choice to change. And that doesn't earn them forgiveness or redemption (vscott has committed Atrocities.) but they can make the choice to become better. Death isn't redemption, it's a way out.

Which is why it's so fucked that Pyro didnt get that chance. That the man Scott made a monster out of was "too far gone" whilst he got a chance to better himself. (and okay if im being truly honest, yes. he killed avid WHICH IS BAD. but by the end of it, they were all trying to murder eachother. he was pushed into make choices by horrible people I DONT THINK VPYRO DID MUCH WRONG OKAY. OKAY WELL THEY DID QUITE A BIT OF WRONG BUT. THEY WERE SO DOOMED THEY HAD SO LITTLE CHOICES. SIGH IM A V!PYRO APOLOGIST. IT MIGHT BE HARD TO TELL.)

Oh the cycle of violence. Shelby was hurt and betrayed (and so many people were out to get him at this point) but vpyro didnt have to die, he could have been okay.

Owen chose to die, Scott chose to change, Pyro didn't get a choice at all.

I'd also like to add on. I'm saying 'change' like Scott wasn't just saving his own skin in the finale, like he wasn't still a horrible person. Yes, eventually he gets better, BUT NOT FOR A WHILE. That guy had a millenia to change and did not. He doesn't feel particularly guilty or remorseful over oakhurst when he makes that choice, and if pyro was alive he'd still want to stake the guy. He saw how his coven was collapsing and looked for the quickest way to get out of there. Pyro was gone by then, but I feel so bad for apo, who had to watch everyone praise scott for changing his ways, WHEN HE JUST. HAD NOT. and also had done such horrible things to her, actually ruined her life. LITTERLAYY SPENT HALF THE TIME TRYING TO TURN EVERYONE AGAINST HER "you chose this" SHUT TF UPPP the v!apo apokuna experience is being angry at everyone who talks to her. anyway. back on topic

"The tale of Jack Von Pyroscythe was an unfortunate tragedy. He found no peace in life, vampirism, or death. He was preyed upon by unnatural forces beyond his comprehension, only to inflict the same pain onto others. He will have no grave. Nobody will mourn him."

Eventually shelby makes him a grave ("pyro, he could have been better, but couldn't we all"). And eventually Scott goes back to that Beacon where it all began and starts to feel something like regret. KEY WORD THERE. EVENTUALLY.

cc!pyro said that pyro's soul was probably bound to the crypt, with the same magic that kept scott sleeping, WHICH IS SO VERY FUCKED but I like to imagine that once shelby made him his grave, his soul was released. He can be peace, or like he can go haunt Scott for his sins and make him Really Think about the people he'd hurt I'd like that too. I keep seeing art of legs, owen and him in hell together which is also very funny, i approve. But I choose to beleive he's at peace finally. he can rest. Right, see, I would say he's with his loved ones now BUT HE DOENST HAVE ANY. sigh. he's with truffle.

I love pyro's ending. its so sad and miserable and tragic I WANTED HIM TO DIE HORRIBLY, I WANTED THIS. and yet i just. headinhands. im sorry about eveyrthing. i will be a jack von pyroscythe defender until the end. These poems make me very sad and upset I love them.

THINGS i was struggling to fit chronologically FIXING THIS LATER

MAJORSCYTHE.

majorscythe. okay. probably the aromantic shining through but im not usually much of shipper. probably because I really struggle to understand the difference between platonic and romantic. but anwyay im getting off track. majorscythe. see majorscythe it makes no difference to me because their relationship is a horrible mess either way it's so interesting I WILL TAKE EITHER!!!

The foundantion of their relationship is based off fear and whether its romantic or not does't change that. Scott tells pyro directly that he won't hurt him, and he does stick true to that (apart from. shelby turning). But that doesn't take away from the fact that pyro is undeniably very scared of him and scott knows and takes advantage of this. Maybe if pyro had stood up for himself to begin with, scott wouldn't have held so much power over him. But scott knew what he was doing, he drank pyro's blood, likely knew about pyro's pre-exsisting issues, especially in regards to authority. He was an easy target.

So yeah, scott may have said he won't hurt pyro, but he also doesn't give pyro any reason to Not be afraid. Because scott has hurt him. He drowned him and then told pyro it was his own fault it happened. And pyro was never allowed to be angry about it because he was so afraid. From pyro's perspective, scott is litterally unimaginable eldritch terror he encountered in the woods who ruined him Forever. (I think I said this earlier but Pyro definately had the most fucked turning of the series (and apo) and then he also had to deal with scott when he wasn't questioningly trying to "be better" or whatever) anyway. back to the majorscythe. so yeah pyro is scared.

Scott cares for his coven and is fond of pyro, albeit annoyed by his disloyalty and lack of control, probably finding his devotion, if not entertaining, definately useful. But, canon wise in the end, scott thought so little of that guy. (which is on par in general for his views on people. He's lived so long, lives are so fleeting and small to him. Like sure he sees shelby as a friend by the end of the series. But before that he literally said he saw her as a sort of pet. Who was cute, sure, and he'd be sad if she was gone, but at the end of the day didn't matter all too much. This is just turning into an analysis of scott and his fledglings right). He had started to become fond of pyro (his first fledgling in 600 years). But avid's murder and what that represented (pyro trying to break free of scott's control), on top of his previous disloyalties, really sealed his fate.

Pyro, meanwhile, spends so much of his time fawning, trying to do things they think scott would like and that comes from a place of fear, not love. They meed to be useful, they need scott to like them because they're scared of what will happen if he doesn't. And Scott once again knows this, even saying himself that a lot of pyro's affection and behaviour come from them trying to appeal to him so they don't Die. This people pleasing behaviour isn't new to Pyro, even if its more horrible and amplified, they're falling back into familiar patterns. Wanting scott tell them what to do because they feel trapped in a horrible unending nightmare with no way out. And even if it sucks, Scott's approval does feel nice. They like the sense of belonging and purpose he gives them, community, something they've never had before.

AND YEAH SO ALL THIS leads to them being Very Strange about eachother. I think at times, pyro struggles to tell what he does out of fear and what he doesn't. He's always scared. He doesn't know how to feel about his sire (the man who gave him a home, the man who killed him.) They're not in love (not in any way thats healthy, scott treats him horribly) but scott likes the attention and finds it amusing at the very least. It's also a useful way of manipulating pyro further, no matter how much you decide Scott cares.

Sigh. And then when he's worked so hard for scott's approval (for saftey) avid comes along and instead earns it instantly, from pyro's perspective undermining his place in the coven. Avid so often openly mocks pyro and scott doesnt even say anything. AFTER ALL THAT!!! im just talking about avid murder again. whatever. this section can be more rambly.

anyway so to conclude I LIKE MAJORSCYTHE!!! the spectrum of how horrible it is and how weird they both are, fandom wise, is wonderful its awesome and i know people have wildly different perspectives on them. the only requirement is that they're freaks and its kind of horrible. a lot of the platonic stuff has sire-fledgling bonds in the mix WHICH I LOVE. SO MUCH. i love when the vampires get to be more bat-like too. so anyway, platonic or otherwise their dynamic is very interesting im putting them under a microscope.

Shipping in this fandom is so funny BECAUSE THE CREATORS ARE MORE INTO IT THAN EVEYRONE ELSE its really funny. why have like half the cast said they're majorscythe truthers. The other thing that makes me giggle is how apo is v!apo's biggest defender and pyro is v!pyro's biggest hater UNTIL V!SCOTT IS MENTIONED and then they're like defending them with their life. which is so real and valid and true. the yaoi all died but the yuri survived and that's so beautiful. Anyway enough of shipping i dont really care about love i care about Hate. probably why i care about majorscythe. sigh.

SHELBY. MY FLEDGLING DUO. ourgh okay v!shelby. okay i am so less confident to yap about anyone that isn't pyro but thats okay.

Shelby was one of the only people that pyro had a good relationship with, although even that was tainted by guilt. Shelby was always going to be turned that night by the river, whether pyro was there on not. But that doesn't change the fact that pyro had a big part in it and, although she acted excited afterwards, her turning was Really Horrible!!! Cornered and murdered by three vampires alone at night. And pyro, starving with so little control over his instincts WAS NOT GENTLE!!! Not in a way that scott might have been. (not that pyro was turned painlessly but. he was fond of shelby).

Part of her is upset at pyro but she doesn't really cling onto her fear and anger, not like pyro does (although she does get back at him a bit, i think she punches him in the face which is deserved actually). But she doesn't stay angry with them, and isn't angry with scott and owen, because that would break the illusion she crafted herself of a happy family.

They were in it together and she trusted and cared about him a lot. They both learnt about vampirism and the prejudice of the townsfolk at the same time. Hunting... whispering during conversations... confiding in eachother about the cure. Shelby was honestly probably one of the closest friends pyro had (..he hasn't had many friends) and even told her about his family. She only knew him as a vampire, but that's more than most in oakhurst could say. Pyro may have been her sire but they never treated eachother as such, they were equals. The only time pyro tried to do that was post-avid murder, when he was trying to prove that he was an "elder vampire", mirroring scott. If anything scott acted as her sire, and although both fledglings admired him, shelby wasn't paralysed by the fear that pyro was. (shelby favourite child is Real. I could write a lot on her and scott actually, shelby being the main reason he started to change. But like pyro she was also blinded by the elder vampire, manipulated. Scott was her friend, her roomate!!!)

And then pyro killed avid and her belief in her happy coven with it. Shelby always saw the best in people until it was too late. She watched pyro go from being the terrified, cowardly fledgeling who turned her, to becoming an actual monster who killed her best friend, her fledgling (she watched it happen) Whilst shelby hid in the castle and did her best to cling to her morals, she saw how pyro was changing under the pressure of vampirism, the influence of scott. I think part of her didn't really want to see it, to acknowledge the uglier sides of her new existance. Because acknowledging it would mean that her lovely, happy vampire family wasn't all that happy. wasn't real. That what had been done to her wasn't good. (something something bystander)

She believed the best in people until it was too late. And filled with anger and grief. grief for avid (grief for who pyro used to be) she killed him and despite everything was still the only one who mourned his death. Her seeing flashbacks of avid's death when she looked at pyro was so fucked up btw. OURGHR. SHELBY. im not quite done here i want to fix this a bit but. yeahg.

His relationship with apo IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME URGH she is. my second favourite. But the main thing I wanted to talk about was how horrible it was when owen led her to the crypt, and how pyro in the presence of the other vampires tried to talk to her like a wounded animal, to keep her calm. Vampirism is inevitable, but everything so much easier when you're turned willingly after all. Running just makes it worse, more painful, more traumatic. AND THATS FUCKED UP AND HORRIBLE. AND. I LOVE IT. And later how thats mirrored when apo takes truffle to him to kill. LALALALA NONE OF THIS END BIT IS DOEN i will fix later

It's okay though. because he's not dead and eternally bound to the crypt or whatever cc!pyro said EQUESTRIA WILL FIX HIM YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Red River (AliceBanD) - oh vpyro. oh the vpyro song ever. my favourite drowning victim, rebirthed by their unholy baptism.

IT WAS OVER FOREVER FROM THE START. I say this Everytime but i don't think I've had a hyperfixation this big in a While. Theres been some really Horrible and Not Wonderful things happening in my life at the moment, and vsmp has been such a big source of joy through that. NO THOUGHTS ONLY VSMP!!!!!!!!
