c!tommy is probably one of or maybe my favourite character of all time. i cannot put into words how much that silly, stupid, um. incredibly traumtised and depressed, child soldier means to me. I've probably rambled a bunch on my dsmp page BUT I WILL GET BACK TO WRITING MORE HERE LATER. I'm terrible at writing character analysis stuff. i tried but i won't do that (I'VE READ SO MANY INCREDIBLE ONES go read those) but I want to talk about my headcanons for him here maybe prehaps

Anyway.so. whatever you do. dont think about how hunter has so many scars when magic is shown to be able to heal injuries really quickly. and don't think about how belos literally named him hunter. LIKE AS IN WITCH HUNTER. AND DONT THINK ABOUT WHEN HE DIES IN S3 ITS ITS LIKE TRIAL BY WATER LIKE. A WITCH TRIAL and don't. think about the other grimwalkers. belos lived a long time BUT NOT LONG ENOUGH FOR THE AMOUNT OF GUARDS IN THE GRIMWALKER GRAVEYARD. and don't think about the horror of finding out the person who was your entire world, who you devoted your entire existance to, was always going to kill you. no matter what you did, no matter how good you were, even if you did everything right, DESPITE HOW MUCH YOU LOVED HIM he never even saw you as a person. the fact that belos PURPOSEFULLY LED HUNTER THROUGH HIS MEMORIES. and don't even get me started on the possession thing.

But um. DO THINK ABOUT LUZ AND HUNTER BEING SIBLINGS AND EMERALD ENTRAILS AND DARIUS.. dadrius... and eberwolf and raine AND HIS CRUSH ON WILLOW and flapjack.. flapjack trying to get him to make friends during eclipse lake... HIS LOVE FOR SEWING AND WOLVES AND COSMIC FRONTIER and how he protects his friends and infodumps about stuff (like when he was telling luz about wild magic AND CUT HIMSELF OFF TO PROTECT HER) and and HOW he finally starts to look more happy in the human realm AND THE EPILOGUE WHERE HIS EYEBAGS DISAPPEAR AND HE'S A PALISMEN CARVER AND WAFFLES

THE TOY SOLDIER (the mechanisms)

THE TOY SOLDIER I LOVE YOU THE TOY SOLDIER. this section might also be about the mechs as a whole... because i love them... BUT THE TOY SOLDIER IS MY FAVOURITE EVER ITS JUST SO SILLY the way it talks and acts is everything to me (It's Just Happy To Be Involved!) IF YOU DON'T KNOW THEM. which is probably most people. THE MECHANISMS ARE A STEAMPUNK FOLK BAND!!!!! each member of the band plays a different character (for example. the toy soldier) and all of their albumns and shows and stuff are played all in character. THE CHARACTERS THEMSLEVES ARE A BAND OF IMMORTAL STORYTELLING SPACE PIRATES who tell tragic stories from across the universe (dysfunctional found family). THE ALBUMNS EACH TELL A DIFFERNT STORY usually based around a theme (for example the bifrost incident is based around norse mythology) and they're all SO GOOD i can't recommend enough (i love the mechs i dont know if you could tell this)

HEHEHE okay so because the lead singer jonny dville is played by jonathan sims. jonathan sims also known as jonny sims who plays the character jonathan sims in hit podcast the magnus archives. THERE IS A BIG CROSSOVER BETWEEN THE FANDOMS and the aus are so funny. I dearly love the ones where jon tma is jonny d'ville (either as like a college band au or he was literally once an immortal space pirate) THEY'RE SO FUNNY also the ones where he is lyf (ILY LYFRASSIR EDA) okay so. (fanfiction ramble alert) I read this one a while ago where jon was basically adopted by the mechs (space experiment went wrong and only little jon could see them) AND ITS SO FUNNY HES IN THE ARCHIVES TRYING TO BE ALL PROFESSIONAL AND THEN THERES JUST JONNY DVILLE AND TIM SHOOTING EACHOTHER IN THE BACKGROUND everyone thinks he's talking to himself. anyway. i read that one so long ago it's ingrained in me
